Dryrain's Reskin Overhaul by "Dryrain" is nearly three gigabytes of more tabletop-inspired tweaked skins and models, and plenty of minor unit variants (if you don't mind increased load times - and this one effectively requires a solid state drive). Banner Overhaul II by "" gives every faction their official tabletop war-banners and titles. Heroes are smaller, monsters are more monstrous and the stompier Orcs tower above their Dwarven rivals. Total Unit Resize II by "Daelin" tweaks the physical size of units to better represent Warhammer tabletop play. Building Progression Icons II by "SPARTAN VI" and crew makes upgrading settlements a bit more parseable, giving every upgrade its own bespoke icon. It eases up the camera constraints, meaning that you can scoot it along at ground level, or get a high aerial shot of the entire battlefield. Better Camera Mod by "Kam2150" is another no-brainer. Skip Intro Logos by "DaTroll" does exactly what is says on the tin, and skips the intro video too, getting you into the game a couple seconds quicker. While I'll be focusing on two of the biggest Warhammer overhauls today, here's a handful of quality-of-life and graphical improvements that you should absolutely use even if you're playing the game otherwise unaltered: No lengthy setup guides here, although a clean install might help. Everything is available through the Steam Workshop and downloaded with a single click. While it might not lend itself to wild total conversions as well as earlier Total War games, Total Warhammer 2 is a cakewalk to install user-made content for. While newer Total War games don't lend themselves to wild total conversions as Medieval 2 did, Warhammer fans are an exacting bunch. 
Not that this has stopped players from trying.
Earlier Total War games arguably needed mods to shine, but Creative Assembly's recent output hasn't had to lean so hard on user-made expansions and refinements. If mega-scale fantasy violence is your thing, Total War: Warhammer 2 (Total Warhammer to its friends) is a grand old time, and an affordable alternative to wasting your savings on miniatures.
